What would you like
to move forward?

Workshops and base checks at a fixed price for the stated scope. Consulting, technical security reviews and ongoing support are separately scoped engagements with a price on request.

Workshops & checks

Build knowledge or review a specific area: workshops, audit preparation and technical security checks offer a focused starting point.

DORA Practical WorkshopDORA made clear. Concrete next steps. One day – foundations or advanced application.1 day each

Two levels. The right starting point.

Build a clear understanding of DORA or deepen your existing knowledge: choose the one-day workshop that matches your team's experience.

For IT and process owners, information security, ICT risk management and compliance teams.

Per option: 1 day · 09:00–17:00 including breaks · up to 10 participants

No prior knowledge required

Foundations & Practice

The right fit if … you want to build a shared knowledge base and understand DORA in your day-to-day work.

What we work on
  • Understand the main DORA topics and how they connect.
  • Clarify roles, responsibilities and handovers together.
  • Work through two guided practical cases and identify initial actions.
What you take away

A shared understanding, an initial overview of roles and concrete next steps for your team.

Enquire about Foundations

For teams with DORA knowledge

Advanced Application

The right fit if … you already know DORA and want to turn requirements into workable processes and well-founded decisions.

What we work on
  • Work through two more complex scenarios, such as a service-provider outage or changes to a critical service.
  • Assess dependencies and shape collaboration between IT, risk management and business teams.
  • Develop decisions, controls and responsibilities, and prioritise implementation steps.
What you take away

Documented solution outlines, reasoned decisions and prioritised implementation steps from the exercises.

Enquire about Advanced

Each option can be booked independently. Advanced Application builds on foundational knowledge, not on mandatory attendance at the first workshop. We agree the right starting point with you in advance.

Format & boundaries

Each workshop covers two practical cases, with outcomes and next steps documented by the end of the day. Advanced Application is a working and learning format: it does not include production implementation, an audit or a comprehensive compliance assessment.

Technical security checks

Targeted reviews of access and logging. Identify security gaps and prioritise improvements – within a clearly agreed scope.

IAM/PAM Access ReviewCritical access paths mapped. Control gaps evidenced. Improvements prioritised.Individual

Identities, permissions & privileged access

Who can access a critical service, through which accounts and approvals? I examine human, machine and privileged identities across an agreed application or access chain.

For IT, information security, IAM/PAM and application operations owners in financial organisations and IT service providers.

Your deliverables
  • An overview of the identities, access paths and responsibilities reviewed.
  • Documented control gaps with traceable evidence and explicit review limitations.
  • Prioritised improvements for permissions, approvals and privileged access.
How it works
  1. Define the access chainAgree the application, account types, interfaces, review criteria and samples.
  2. Trace the controlsReview documentation and approved extracts; walk through selected access, provisioning and revocation processes with the responsible owners.
  3. Prioritise improvementsExplain access paths, evidenced gaps and missing evidence, and record the next actions.
Preparation

Architecture and role documentation, existing access management processes and named contacts. Provide only agreed, necessary extracts; do not send passwords, keys or other credentials.

Scope & boundaries

One critical application or clearly bounded access chain. Systems, account types, samples and assessment criteria are agreed in advance. The review uses documentation, approved evidence and joint walkthroughs; missing evidence is explicitly identified.

No complete access recertification, penetration testing, certification or security guarantee. No changes to production systems. Product deployment, further technical testing and implementation require a separate engagement.

Logging & Traceability ReviewKnow what can be traced – and which evidence is missing from the logs.Individual

Logging, SIEM integration & evidence

An event occurs - can you establish who did what and when? For an agreed service, I review which events are recorded, how they are brought together and who analyses them.

For IT, information security, platform operations and SIEM owners, and teams with technical traceability requirements.

Your deliverables
  • A log source and event matrix for the agreed service and events reviewed.
  • Traceably documented gaps in data coverage, correlation and responsibilities.
  • Prioritised requirements and actions for logging, SIEM integration and analysis.
How it works
  1. Select the eventsAgree the service, relevant actions, evidence objectives, data sources and samples.
  2. Trace the evidenceFollow approved examples from source through collection to analysis; review timestamps, attribution and available data.
  3. Plan improvementsExplain findings and missing evidence, and prioritise requirements and next implementation steps.
Preparation

Service and logging architecture, a list of log sources, existing analysis use cases and named owners. Provide approved log examples in anonymised or pseudonymised form where possible; exclude sensitive content and credentials.

Scope & boundaries

One service and an agreed selection of relevant events. Log sources, samples and business evidence requirements are defined in advance. Existing traceability is assessed using approved documentation and examples; complete coverage of all events is not promised.

No SOC or 24/7 operation, guaranteed attack detection or forensic investigation. No production changes or automatic legal assessment of retention periods. Technical implementation and further effectiveness testing are agreed separately.

Architecture & audit support

For a specific architecture decision or an upcoming audit - supporting an IT service provider or the organisation being audited. Scope, dates and price are agreed individually.

Architecture Decision SprintAssessed options. A reasoned recommendation. Clear next steps.3-5 days

  • An outline target architecture and a documented recommendation to support your decision.
  • Prioritised next steps for planning and implementation.
How it works
  1. Frame the decisionAgree the objective, boundaries, stakeholders and evaluation criteria.
  2. Assess the optionsReview documentation and integrations; discuss security, operations and transition paths with the responsible teams.
  3. Present the recommendationExplain and document the options, target outline and next steps in a results discussion.
Preparation

A specific decision to be made, existing architecture and integration documentation, and contacts from the business, IT, security and operations. Required materials and interviews are agreed in advance.

Scope & boundaries

One bounded decision for a solution, platform or integration. The proposal defines the options, interviews and systems to be considered. IAM/PAM or logging can be agreed as a specialist focus.

No complete enterprise architecture, product deployment or technical implementation. Your organisation retains responsibility for the decision and approval.

Client Audit Support for IT Service ProvidersA structured client audit: aligned evidence, responses and next actions.Individual

Preparation & subject-matter support

A financial-sector client announces an audit. I help you bring together evidence and responsibilities, prepare subject-matter owners and address open questions in a traceable way.

For IT service providers serving banks, insurers or other financial organisations, particularly service management, information security and audit coordination teams.

Your deliverables
  • An organised evidence overview with owners and open items.
  • Prepared subject-matter discussions and support at the agreed audit meetings.
  • Follow-up of open questions and a prioritised action overview.
How it works
  1. Understand the audit scopeAgree client requirements, audit scope, dates and your points of contact.
  2. Prepare and supportOrganise evidence, prepare subject-matter owners and provide support at the agreed discussions.
  3. Track open itemsStructure follow-up questions and findings, and record next steps with responsible owners.
Preparation

Audit notice, questionnaire or requirement list, existing evidence and named owners. Confidentiality and permitted sharing of client materials are clarified in advance.

Scope & boundaries

One defined client audit at an IT service provider. Review areas, evidence volume, meetings and follow-up are bounded individually. Unlike a training course, this engagement supports a real audit process.

No independent audit or certification, legal opinion or assurance of a particular audit outcome. Implementing all findings is not included in the audit support.

Audit & Regulatory Review Support for OrganisationsStructure and specialist support for DORA-, BaFin-, SWIFT- or SEPA-related reviews.Individual

DORA · BaFin · SWIFT · SEPA

Your organisation is being audited. I help prepare your teams, bring together evidence and responsibilities, and support auditor requests and discussions through to structured follow-up.

For banks, insurers, payment service providers and other organisations facing relevant IT, security or governance audits and reviews.

Your outcomes
  • An audit and evidence overview with responsible owners, dates and open items.
  • Prepared subject-matter owners and coordinated support for auditor requests and discussions.
  • Documented follow-up questions and findings, with a prioritised action overview.
How we work
  1. Understand the reviewClarify the review basis, scope, dates and contacts; assess documentation and open items.
  2. Prepare and supportStructure evidence, prepare subject-matter owners and support the agreed auditor discussions.
  3. Track the outcomesDocument questions and findings; agree next steps, responsible owners and deadlines.
Your preparation

The audit notice, requirement list, existing evidence and named owners. Approvals, confidentiality and permitted document sharing are clarified in advance.

Scope & boundaries

One defined audit or review, supporting your organisation as the auditee, for example relating to DORA, BaFin, SWIFT CSP/CSCF or SEPA. The review basis, topics, evidence, meetings and follow-up are agreed individually.

Unlike client audit support for IT service providers, this engagement supports the organisation undergoing its own audit or review. Other review contexts can be agreed after scoping.

No independent audit, certification, legal advice or assurance of an audit outcome. No assumption of the assessor role, including an independent SWIFT CSP assessment. Implementation of actions requires a separate engagement.

Implementation & ongoing support

Turn selected findings into deliverables, or secure regular architecture support with agreed capacity. Both are separately commissioned engagements with a price on request.

Implementation Support After the CheckTurn selected findings into actionable work packages and concrete deliverables.5-10 days per phase

From findings to deliverables

A check or audit has identified areas for improvement. Together, we turn selected findings into practical work packages and work towards the agreed deliverables.

For IT, architecture, information security and governance owners with an existing action plan.

Your deliverables
  • Prioritised work packages with owners and agreed acceptance criteria.
  • Revised concepts, process or architecture documentation within the commissioned scope.
  • A traceable implementation status, outstanding dependencies and handover of results.
How it works
  1. Select the actionsPrioritise findings, clarify dependencies and agree deliverables and responsibilities.
  2. Develop the deliverablesRevise the commissioned concepts or documentation and support the agreed implementation with your teams.
  3. Close the phaseReview results against the agreed criteria and hand over remaining items and next steps.
Preparation

The findings report or action list, current documentation, responsible subject-matter owners and necessary access. Your organisation's approvals and contributions are defined in the engagement.

Scope & boundaries

One agreed implementation phase, not the entire action plan. The proposal distinguishes my own deliverables from coordination and support for your teams.

No blanket promise to close every finding. Production changes, operational services and additional actions are included only if expressly commissioned; independent effectiveness testing is a separate service.

Your consultant

Audit experience.
A practical perspective.

I connect enterprise architecture, security and regulatory governance. My experience includes supporting BaFin-, SWIFT- and SEPA-related reviews, data-centre assessments and TSI and ISO/IEC 27001 certification processes.

More about my audit experience

DORA & security in banking

In banking, I have held responsibility for DORA readiness and audit-ready documentation. This includes translating regulatory requirements into architecture and operating processes, developing governance, and assessing IT and integration architectures from a security and compliance perspective. I connect the regulatory perspective with technical implementation.

Client audits on the provider side

I led a major client audit on the service-provider side for a strategically important client. I therefore also know the audit situation from the perspective of the organisation being assessed. This complements my experience supporting reviews in banking and data-centre environments.

Governance & DORA in client-facing teams

I have provided specialist support to an internal corporate governance team, assessed security and regulatory topics, and trained account managers on DORA. The focus was on explaining requirements clearly and preparing teams for regulatory discussions with clients, connecting governance, technology and client-facing work.

What this means for your preparation

I bring this experience to my workshops and checks: we consider not only individual documents, but also how requirements, responsibilities and technical practice fit together. Within the agreed scope, we assess existing evidence, identify open questions and define concrete next steps.

Consulting and preparation – no independent assurance opinion, certification or guarantee of a particular audit outcome.
